One of the best things about working with overseas trained GPs is the ability to have a lasting impact on their lives by providing solutions through our expert knowledge of exemptions.

Over the years, we have been able to increase our knowledge about all the different 19AB and 19AA exemptions types and maintain strong industry contacts to ensure we know when regulations change. The ability to work nearer to family or in non-DWS areas really does have a lasting effect on GPs lives. Here are some examples:

Spousal Exemption: We were recently able to assist a GP with a spousal exemption which allowed him to work closer to home.

“Thank you so much, this is a life changer for me. For years I missed all the kids school event due to the travel but now I can be minutes from home”

SAPP Exemption: Some GPs who have dependents with special medical needs which require them to live close to the city as they would not be able to access proper services in rural areas, helping these GPs is very rewarding.

“This is the best news I have had in a long time, thank you so much for helping me”

Spousal Exemption: Many GPs who have suffered disappointment after receiving bad advice about exemptions. Unlike other recruiters or consultants, we will not move forward with an application unless there is a very good possibility for success. The comments below came from two GPs we helped get spousal exemptions:

“Excellent news Megan!! Look forward to receiving their letter from you and your invoice is probably the one invoice that will be an absolute pleasure for me to pay!”

“Wonderful news, thankyou Megan, You and Martina are the best”

At Alecto Australia we strive hard to ensure that GPs and their families have the best experiences when they arrive in Australia at the end of the registration process.

If you have any special circumstances or are hoping to work in a particular area or if you have a GP looking to work at your practice but are unsure on an exemption, contact our Registration Manager Megan Lewis at [email protected] for a confidential chat about your situation.
