Alecto started in 2010 by co-founders Martina & Monique (also mother and daughter) who had set out to do something that would make a difference.
They kept hearing from friends and family that they were struggling to find and get an appointment with a good GP. From this, Martina & Monique developed a vision that they could do something to help out.
At the same time, they identified the difficulty in registering foreign doctors in Australia, together with the District of Workforce Shortage (DWS) and 19AB provisions. As a result, one of Alecto’s key goals was to help Australian GP practices by simplifying the registration process and providing a bespoke, high-end recruitment service.
Alecto prides itself on being good ‘matchmakers’. Beyond their database of GP vacancies and GP candidates, they offer a discreet, personalised service that matches vacancies and candidates with sensitivity and care. When they propose a match, it means they have thoroughly investigated the candidate and the proposed position, to make sure they are a good fit. Once they have made a match, they work with GP practices and GP candidates to make sure the process of registration rolls along as smoothly as possible.
Alecto consultants have the expertise and real-world experience to empower practice owners and policy managers with genuine insights and clear solutions to primary care challenges.
