About the position
- Clinical Care & Leadership – Responsible for delivering psychiatric assessment and treatment to children, adolescents, and youth in the Wheatbelt region, while providing clinical leadership and consultation to healthcare professionals, agencies, and carers.
- Implementation & Compliance – Lead Taskforce recommendations, chairs CAMHS reviews, and ensures legal compliance.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with key stakeholders for seamless mental health care.
- Teaching & Mentorship – Support staff, general practitioners, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Team & Flexibility – work within a supportive team with flexible, innovative opportunities.
Remuneration
MP Year 1-9 – $395,490 to $502,265 p.a. pro rata (inclusive of base salary, 11.5% superannuation, on call allowance and PDL allowance)

- Specialized Programs – Includes Aboriginal, Adult, Youth, Child & Adolescent, and Seniors Mental Health Programs.
- Multidisciplinary Team – Staffed by psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and Aboriginal workers.
- Regional & Outreach Services – Based in Northam, Gingin, Merredin, and Narrogin, with outreach support via telehealth.
- Training & Hospital Liaison – Supports professionals, organizations, and hospitals in the region.

Essential requirements
- Evidence of registration by the Medical Board of Australia prior to commencement.
- Provision of the minimum identity proofing requirements
- Successful Criminal Record Screening Clearance
- Successful Pre-Employment Health Assessment
- Successful WA Health Integrity Check
- Successful Working with Children Check
- Evidence of a current C or C-A Class driver’s licence or other specialised licence class
