The GP Oversupply Myth

Recent media and political discussions predicting an oversupply of GPs have based their predictions on an inaccurate reading of official workforce modelling. As a result, policymakers are preparing for an oversupply of GPs when all the data points to a severe undersupply. Australia will need consistent supply of overseas trained GPs for at least another 5-10 years if official modeling is correct.
